There is no magic bullet when it comes to cleaning and restoring your watch from
scratches.
For medium and deep scratches y
ou need to either take the metal down with a series of micro sandpapers or "lap" it with a diamond cutting paste; then polish, which is a process of moving the metal to fill the
scratches. Also, Cape Cod Polish clothes do next to nothing for scratch removal. It is good for cleaning off the oxidized metal.
The micro sandpaper is great for control, but does take a bit longer. The diamond paste will work faster, but is hard to control in small areas or where a brushed finish meets a polished finish like on a bezel or on a stainless steel band.
